| Faith is for Living |
| You are invited to take advantage of the opportunities that we provide for personal and spiritual growth. We take our mission and vision seriously. So much so, that we take a deliberate approach to everything we do. At the core of our ministry plan is the conviction that there are three major foci for the church. We remember them through the use of three "C" words: Christ (our relationship with God), Community (relationships with each other), and Cause (relationships with our world). Most people believe in God and affirm spiritual values. But, a growing number have given up on churches and organized religion, convinced that they have little to offer for today's complex life. Central Community Church recognizes this disparity, and is committed to being an alternative church for irreligious people to discover and live a meaningful faith that impacts the world. We are convinced that the message of Jesus is life-giving, and that we need to break down some of the barriers that have often kept people from seeing the church as it was meant to be. We invite you to experience church in a fresh, new way! Check us out this Sunday at 9:45 am. For the convenience and comfort of the congregation we will be meeting for the rest of the summer in the fellowship hall. (Excluding special events requiring a larger venue ,(ie-Sanctuay) Our weekly gathering of the entire church, Sunday mornings. We come together for celebration, community and challenge. We invite you to come join us in celebration, worship and praise to our Lord God. Worship begins at 9:45am am Our Central Point Challenge (Pastors Message), begins at 10:30am approx. This week"Where do we go from here?" Description: NOOMA is a new format for spiritual direction. It's short films touching on issues that we care about, that we want to talk about, and it comes in a way that fits our world. It's a format that's there for us when we need it, as we need it, how we need it. Presented on a Bi Monthly Schedule Jesus lived with the awareness that God is doing something right here, right now, and anybody can be a part of it. He encouraged his listeners to search, to question, to wrestle with the implications of what he was saying and doing. He inspired, challenged, provoked, comforted, and invited people to be open to God's work in this world. Wherever he went, whatever he did, Jesus started discussions about what matters most, because for Jesus, God is always inviting us to open our eyes and join in. Rob Bell has taken his act on the road. His act is a thoroughgoing Genesis-to-Revelation presentation of the gospel. And the crowds love it. Founding pastor of Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bell is known for his Nooma videos and his book Velvet Elvis. Now, he is drawing large numbers of young people, seekers, and church stalwarts to arenas and auditoriums. His views are not without controversy, even among his contemporaries. God Loves everyone,so as Christians we should to. NOOMA is a series of short films that explore our world from the perspective of Jesus. Please join us in open discussion on a myriad of soul searching, thought provoking subjects each time NOOMA is presented at Central. We really want to encourage people to speak freely and share their thoughts and opinions..So come on down to Central, grab a snack and some coffee and lets talk ! NOOMA is an invitation to search, question, and join the discussion. For more info check out NOOMA |
